The Skinny: The nation's top quarterback was the Gatorade National Player of the Year and went wire-to-wire as the premier passer in the country.  Rewrote the state passing records en route to a perfect season and a second straight state title.  The U.S. Army All-American is already enrolled at USC and will have a chance to win the starting job as a true freshman.

The Skinny: An UnderArmour All-American, Bateman had an up-and-down senior season, but ended on a good note with a solid performance in Orlando.  He'll head to the two-time defending national champs and watch as A.J. McCarron tries to lead the Tide to a third title, then he'll be a legitimate candidate to run the Tide offense in 2014.

Recruiting: Committed to LSU
The Skinny: After missing nearly all of his junior year with a knee injury, Rettig came back with a solid senior year and showed no signs of any lingering issues.  He led his team to the section semifinals, where they lost to the eventual state champions.  Played in the U.S. Army Bowl and enrolled early at LSU.

The Skinny: The top quarterback prospect in Northern California, Goff led his school to the CIF State D-III Championship game and then followed it up by being the first player from his school ever selected to a postseason All-American Game, playing in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.  Enrolled early at Cal and will have a chance to compete for the starting job in Sonny Dykes' new offense.
