Basic Pretender or Contender - The Weeks Pick

I am telling you right now - Pretenders are Rancho,Basic and Cheyenne. Real Contenders are Mojo, Gorman, PV and Vegas. Plenty of teams still have questions to answer. Spring Valley, Shadow Ridge, Centennial, CM, Canyon Springs all have questions regarding their teams. Can they play defense? Can they stay away from silly plays? On both fronts these teams struggle with one or the other. Picks now!

BASIC AT DEL SOL - When a JV RB slices his way through your defense, you could have a problem. Del Sol - is too tough for Basic. Pretending is going to stop this week. DS 35 Basic 20

LIBERTY AT FOOTHILL - We know that we can not count on Liberty to step up and beat teams in the middle of the pack of the SE. Here we go again. Foothill pride shows Liberty how to do it - 28 -7

GREEN VALLEY AT SILVERADO - Silverado has a REAL nice RB in McMillan. He deserves more props and George will give him some more. He runs wild 35-7

CHAPARRAL AT CANYON SPRINGS - CS can score, but Chap does have better athletes than many would think. CS wins another shoot out 45-28

DESERT PINES AT RANCHO - The Rams are pretenders after losing at Valley. DP gets it done 28-20

LAS VEGAS AT VALLEY - Sorry Vikes the winning streak will end! LV should go wild here 39 - 13

GORMAN AT DURANGO - Used to be a nice rivalry. Now Durango can not field a team! Gorman is real, very real - 45-0

SPRING VALLEY AT CLARK - Another team that needs to get over the hump in SV. They have the talent they just need a big win. Clark is a tune up for the following weeks - 35-7

WESTERN AT SIERRA VISTA - What is Western doing playing down to the level of their competition lately? SV can throw the football, but heed my words they will give up a big special teams play this week. You can count on this like rain in a rain forrest. When will they ever focus on their kicking game and coverage? Bullock will go nuts here 45-21

CENTENNIAL AT MOJAVE - Blue the Dog revenge game. Yes who can forget the kidnapping of Blue the Dog of Centennial. Mojo is looking more and more the real deal. Give me Mojo 28-20

SHADOW RIDGE AT CHEYENNE - Interesting game here. I would like to say that Shadow can get over the hump and of course they disappoint. Too much talent for them not to win a game on the road. I dont think Chey town is that strong as they have been in the past. SR finally gets one 28-27

ARBOR VIEW AT PALO VERDE - The local tv commercial darlings are the Panthers. They are Summerlin's team. AV has a long way to go. PV gets it done 35-7

LEGACY AT CIMARRON-MEMORIAL - Ouch I dont think that the Horns can match up against this power. CM 45 Legacy 7

BOULDER CITY AT BONANZA - This is an interesting game. Frankly BC has shown flashes of brilliance this year and now they get to take on a smaller 4 A school. Bonanza wins a really close game 28-27

ELDORADO AT CORONADO - Ugly game of the week. Coro is a mess at the moment. They do beat the teams that they should and then get smacked when they take a step up the ladder in competition. Coro wins a game that they should at home 28-20
