We Are Back

Last May, when our Rivals network went down, little did we know how much in demand the Nevada Sports Network site would become. We saw the interest of NIAA athletics reach an all time high and we continued to believe that there was still so much more that could be done. The .com boom went bust and Rivals.com went into the trash pile with the rest of the poorly ran .com firms.

A lot of promises were made by Rivals regarding the commitment towards how they were going to grow high school sports awareness. It was evident after going to a meeting in Seattle with other publishers that they did not understand what was really important. While it was discouraging, we still saw the growth of the NSN sports site inside of the Rivals networks.

This summer we were approached by many newcomers to the sports website community to join their networks. We looked at all of the deals very closely and wanted to make the best opportunity work instead of just running after any deal that came along. Other sites popped up under long domain names trying to fill the void of our summer time absence. We support all of the instate publishers that are supporting high school athletics in Nevada. All have a nitch, but we want to remain the lone site to cover the entire State.

We have message boards and stories from the NIAA as we did before. The Insiders also have many of the top recruiting experts that provide our athletes great exposure to a national audience. This was a key element to what we want to have in a network that we are a part of. Also, the main UNLV publishers from the Rivals.com network have joined our network as well.

Through all of this time, we have appreciated your support and inquiries about the site. Our commitment is as large as ever to grow the exposure of High School Sports. From our support of the FOX 5 High School Sports Wrapup on Friday nights, to the support of the weekly broadcasts on 1340 KRLV and ESPN 630 we continue to lead the way in getting more people exposed to the prep scene.

So jump on board and enjoy the ride. It will gear up and be strong as it was before.
