| Silverado's Ratner Going to James Madison | ||||
|
Heiden Ratner of Silverado was named High School Player of the Year and was a part of the ALL State team this year. Yet - we were waiting for the 5'11 guard to finally sign with a D1 school. The wait is over as last night, he decided to sign with James Madison University in Virginia. JMU plays in the CAA with George Mason, VCU and Drexel. | ||||
|
Ratner is a craft point guard who stayed loyal to his school and played all 4 years at Silverado. He led his team in scoring annually. He could have transfered to a higher power High School in Las Vegas, but remained loyal to Silverado.
Quick guard that can penetrate and distribute, Ratner is a solid floor leader who will be able to handle quick point guards. Southern Nevada has produced some solid high school players in the past 2 years who contributed to programs with San Diego State, Oregon, Creighton, Washington, UNLV and Louisville.
Heiden Ratner is the son of the former Nevada State Athletic Commission Chairman, Marc Ratner who is now an official with UFC. |
